Major cost savings can be achieved if operations and production support are managed remotely by a third party. In addition, outsourcing routine maintenance improves the ability of IT teams to respond quickly to newer challenges facing the business.

Support provides services to maintain applications developed in-house, or by a third party vendor. We can also maintain COTS(Commercial Off The Shelf) products with or with out customization.
These services include:

 Defect/Problem Management: Help track and resolve issues logged by users
 Business Support: Provide Help Desks to facilitate effective usage of application by users
 Change Management: Defect tracking and fixing defects on an ongoing basis to improve application quality
 Continuous Improvement: Enhancements or improvements to increase the life span of the application
 Operations and Production Support: Ensures applications are live and running, including support for 24x7 operations
    This is usually done using a small onsite team, and a larger offshore team. The onsite team is responsible for      coordination, patch upload and production testing. The offshore team works remotely to deliver a cost advantage
    It is also possible to run a 100% remote operations support team. Saksoft currently manages Support for some      customers using a 100% offshore model. Users at the customer's site have local contact numbers that flow into the      remote setup for any help and assistance
