Typically, more than half of a bank's IT budget is spent
on maintaining existing applications. Major cost savings
can be achieved if operations and production support are
managed remotely by a third party. In addition, outsourcing
routine maintenance improves the ability of IT teams to
respond quickly to newer challenges facing the business.
Support provides services to maintain applications developed
in-house, or by a third party vendor. We can also maintain
COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) products with or without
customization.

- This is usually done using a small onsite team,
and a larger offshore team. The onsite team is
responsible for coordination, patch upload and
production testing. The offshore team works remotely
to deliver a cost advantage.
- It is also possible to run a 100% remote operations
support team. Saksoft currently manages support
for some customers using a 100% offshore model.
Users at the customer's site have local contact
numbers that flow into the remote setup for any
help and assistance.
